Restaurants & Bars
Excellent food is a real feature of this resort with the vast majority of ingredients organically grown on the property or farmed in the neighbouring villages. The main restaurant is small, informal and friendly and your service is delivered with a big smile. For breakfast there is always a good choice of fresh fruits and a choice of cooked traditional breakfast. Lunch and dinner are a set menu with a choice of main course and vegetarian options.
During the week theme nights are organised including outdoor BBQs.
Whether you go hiking into the moutain jungles of Kadavu or indulge in some gentle birdwatching, you cannot fail to be impressed by this beautiful and unspoilt island.
There are single and double kayaks available free of charge and you can have a lot of fun exploring the island's beaches and paddling in the warm waters of the Pacific.
Big game fishing and bottom fishing are a popular sport here and you can expect to catch yellowfin tuna, barracuda and many more species.
It's also really nice to visit the nearby village of Naivakarauniniu, meet the locals and learn of Fijian customs and history.
The diving around Kadavu can be classified into two distinct areas; the great Astrolabe reef (the fourth largest reef in the world) and the Namalata and Tavuki Reefs. The Great Astrolabe Reef stretches 100km from the eastern most point of Kadavu around to the southern coast plunging into the depths of the Pacific ocean. The reef offers really good hard corals including many Porities species which make perfect cleaning stations so pelagic encounters with manta rays often occur. Being a deep ocean reef literally anything can swim by and in the channel entrances there are sometimes quite strong currents, common in atoll diving. This, of course, makes for a perfect dive site attracting fish in great numbers and sizes from the pretty to the predator.
On the northern coast of Kadavu, the coral plateau consists of the two barrier reefs of Namalata and Tavuki. The diving is easier here but still offers a wonderful variety of marine flora and fauna.
The dive centre generally offers two tank dives in the morning and a single tank dive in the afternoon and evening. Full day excursions go to the Astrolabe Reef.
A comprehensive selection of Padi courses is available and dive packages can be purchased in advance at discounted prices so please ask our sales staff for a quotation.
