The Carib Dancer is a purpose built 30m yacht that can take up to 14 divers on 7 day adventures to the visually rich Exumas and exhilarating Tiger Beach.
Departing every Saturday from Nassau, the Carib Dancer takes you into one of the world's largest marine parks (176 sq miles) where you can dive along dramatic walls and colourful coral reefs, into enormous caves and come face to face with underwater predators and fish life.
The 100ft Carib Dancer is a purpose built dive boat catering for 14 divers and operating throughout the islands of the Bahamas.
Up to a maximum of 14 divers are accommodated in 5 Deluxe staterooms (including a double lower and single upper bed as well as tv/dvd player, mirrored cabinet, wardrobe, daily fresh towels, bathrobes, toiletries and independently controlled a/c) and a Quad stateroom (incorporating 4 single bunk style beds).
Divers dive directly into the crystal clear waters from the large dive deck at the back of the boat. After an exhilarating dive there are seperate sinks for cameras/dive equipment and a special camera table with charging stations. Guests can relax with a cold drink from the outside bar on the sundeck or enjoy the jacuzzi.
The Exumas is a protected area of outstanding natural beauty covering 176 miles and consists of more than 350 small islands and cays. Witness dramatic walls, lush coral reefs and many close encounters with sealife during the 7 night liveaboard trips with superb underwater visibility. The Cays offer a beautiful combination of shallow reefs and walls all set in the most exotic of locations imaginable.
Locations are as follows:-
Nassau (Lost Blue Hole and Periwinkle Reef) - Witness coral heads, stingrays, lobsters, banded jawfish, seminole gobies, nurse sharks, blacknose sharks, sergeant majors, angelfish and tobacco fish amongst others.
Exumas (Amberjack Reef, Austin Smith Wreck, Barracudda Shoals, Blacktip Wall, Cathedral, Cracked Coral Head, Jeep Fish and Pillar Wall) - Rich variety of fishlife and coral with reef sharks, large grouper, small critters, horse-eye jack, hammerhead sharks, eagle rays and yellow head jawfish amongst others frequenting this region. There is also a 90' Bahamian Defense Force Cutter lying in 60’ of water that sank in 1995 and a coral encrusted jeep which hosts a large population of fish life.
Southwest Eleuthera (Cave Rock & Monolith) - Large coral mounds surrounded by several smaller coral heads. There is a large collection of colourful fish and coral to amaze you as well as a chance to witness hammerhead sharks who are often seen here. At Monolith there is a colony of Garden Eels in the sand next to the mounds.
Little San Sal (Cave Reef & Empress Pinnacles) - Many pelagics are seen in this area as well as black coral on the sides of the pinnacles.
Tiger Beach is situated in a remote area around the West of Grand Bahama. If you love sharks then you are going to love this dedicated dive trip with up to 5 dives per day. This remote area is home to large numbers of sharks and dolphins as well as many assorted fish. There will be at least one afternoon spent diving at the infamous 'Tiger Beach' where Caribbean Reef Sharks, Lemon Sharks and Tiger Sharks congregate and offer an incredible adrenaline rush.
Schedule & Itinerary
The 7 night Bahama Islands trips depart throughout the year on a Saturday from Nassau and return to Nassau the following Saturday.
There are some 6 night and 10 night Bahama Islands trips available - please check for dates.
There are 6, 7 and 10 night Tiger Beach trips departing between May and July in 2015 and between May and Aug in 2016 departing from and returning to Freeport.
For trips to the Bahamas you can fly via the USA or there is a non-stop service with British Airways. We recommend that you spend a night in Nassau or Grand Bahama on arrival if going on the Tiger Beach liveaboard.
The Carib Dancer departs from Elizabeth on Bay Marina in downtown Nassau and is a short tax ride away from Nassau Airport.
Guests may board the Carib Dancer from 4pm on the day of departure and the boat departs for it's overnight mooring at 6pm.
Morning departure from London Heathrow to Nassau arriving in the early afternoon.
Upon arrival into Nassau take a taxi to Elizabeth on Bay Marketplace and Marina in downtown. The boarding commences from 4pm and departs at 6pm for it's night anchorage in readiness for diving in the morning.

Check out Saturday morning at 8am and either extend stay at a resort or get a taxi transfer to Nassau to catch your international flight which departs at in the late evening.

Price includes return international flights to Nassau from the UK on BA. For MV Carib Dancer it includes 7 nights accommodation in a 4 bunk bed style cabin, all meals, snacks, beverages including soft drinks, juice, tanks, weights and weight belt.
Price doesn't include port fees and park fees ($100USD) which are payable onboard or transfers from Nassau to the boat and back.
Tiger Beach itineraries require an overnight stay in either Grand Bahama or Nassau then a domestic flight ($180USD) to Freeport.
