The Komodo National Park

East of Bali, among a chain of volcanic islands known as Nusa Tengarra, is the stunning Komodo National Park. Declared a World Heritage Site in 1991, and famous for the Komodo Dragons that still survive there, this vast area offers some truly stunning diving coupled with breathtaking top-side scenery and wildlife.

Every dive trip to the fabulous Komodo National Park is an extravagence of Indonesian diving at its best and has made this area one of the best dive locations in the world. There are steep walls ablaze with rainbow coloured corals and crinoids; stunning 'muck-dives' in sandy bays home to the most incredible critters; and prolific fish life and pelagics - including large pacific mantas that come in to be cleaned.

All Komodo liveaboard trips require a minimum of one night's accommodation on the beautiful island of Bali either side of the liveaboard trip, which makes for a wonderful Indonesian holiday. We represent many excellent liveaboards in the region and can arrange your whole package for you to ensure you have a holiday of a lifetime.

Pindito Liveaboard

The Pindito is a beautiful and elegant 124ft wooden Pinisi with a cruising speed of 8-9 knots and a range of 1300 nautical miles. The ship is superbly equipped and can accommodate a maximum of 16 guests. Accommodation on board is in 6 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. The cabins are elegantly designed and all are en-suite, with shower, washbasin and toilet, and have individually controlled air-conditioning. The cabins are tended daily and fresh towels are supplied as necessary.

Typically, four dives per day are scheduled during the cruise and the diving takes place from three Zodiacs. All dives are lead by experienced Dive Masters and preceeded by a thorough safety briefing. The crew are experienced in handling camera equipment safely and divers are free underwater to do their own thing if they do not want to keep with the guides. There is 32% Nitrox available on board and full Nitrox courses can be taken on any cruise.

Other Itineraries

We offer trips to Komodo throughout the year so please call for other dates if you can't make our exclusive charter. Komodo cruises vary during the year, with some starting and ending in Bali while others may be scheduled from Bima, where an internal domestic flight may be required. We will be happy to advise and arrange everything for you according to your travel dates and requirements. We can recommend flying from the UK on Singapore, Malaysian or Emirates Airlines and we can arrange 30kgs luggage allowance for divers carrying dive equipment with each of these carriers.

Bali Add-ons

Bali is a beautiful island and we would certainly recomend adding a few days to your trip there. We have extensive knowledge of Bali and it's diverse and wonderful countryside; from the stunning rice terraces of Ubud, to the thrilling white water rafting in the Ayung Valley, to underwater encounters with the incredible mola molas, Bali has it all. Call our sales team now and we will be happy to put together an itinerary based on your hopes and dreams.
