Accommodation
Deluxe Beach Villas: There are just 6 tastefully appointed Deluxe Beach Villas on the island. All Villas are spacious and feature beautiful designer furnishings, polished wooden floors, sitting area, king size or twin beds, air-conditioning and ceiling fan. Facilities include a CD stereo system, fully stocked minibar, coffee and espresso maker, IDD telephone and a personal safe. The Beach Villas have a large open-air en-suite bathroom with a luxurious fresh water shower as well as direct access down to the beach.
Deluxe Water Villas: There are 30 beautiful Deluxe Water Villas built on stilts over the sparkling blue lagoon. All Villas are similar to the Beach Villas in terms of size and standard and feature beautiful designer furnishings, polished wooden floors, sitting area, king size or twin beds, air-conditioning and ceiling fan. Facilities include a CD stereo system, fully stocked minibar, coffee and espresso maker, IDD telephone and a personal safe. The Water Villas have a luxurious en-suite bathroom overlooking the ocean through two large sliding glass doors. Outside there is a private sun deck offering complete privacy with a fresh-water rinse shower by the steps that lead down into the ocean.
Restaurants & Bars
The main restaurant on the island is the Dhonveli Restaurant, with traditional sand-floor, serving a wide choice of International and local cuisines buffet style, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located on the beach there is the well-stocked Anbu Bar serving light snacks and beers, wines, spirits and cocktails from morning till night.
The Muraka Restaurant is built on stilts above the clear turquoise lagoon and offers fine a-la-carte dining in a romantic setting. Fresh seafoods and meats are a speciality here and the restaurant has a superb and extensive wine list.
Excursions & Entertainment
On the island there is a beautifully appointed boutique shop and wireless LAN is available. Island hopping excursions include Robinson Crusoe daytrips, sightseeing trips to local inhabited islands, sunset cruises and snorkelling safaris. There is a fully equipped fitness center providing the latest state-of-the-art gym equipment, available free of charge, and sports include beach volleyball, badminton and table tennis. In addition there is a water sports center offering windsurfing, kayaking and other non-motorized water sports free of charge. The island has a superb house reef for snorkelling and diving.
Spa: The excellent Duniye Spa offers a full range of therapeutic massages and beauty treatments, from relaxing Swedish massages to traditional Thai treatments and facials.
Diving
The dive centre on Mirihi is operated by the excellent Ocean Pro Dive Team. The center is well equipped and offers a complete PADI instructional program from beginner to Divemaster. Guided boat dives are scheduled daily to some superb dive sites.
Travel Information
If you are travelling through or from the UK we can arrange flights on either award winning Emirates Airlines or Sri Lankan Airlines at very competitive fares. Emirates have a flexible schedule of departures on most days of the week from London, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle and Glasgow via Dubai. Sri Lankan airlines offer direct flights from Heathrow on certain days of the week and flights via Colombo at other times. If you would like to arrange your own flights, we can quote you a rate for your island accommodation that excludes flights.
With such flexibility in air travel you can choose to stay on your selected island for any number of days you would like. For the ultimate Maldives experience we highly recommend you combine your stay on an island with a fantastic week onboard one of our liveaboards, the Sea Queen or Sea Spirit.
