Guest Transfer
The guests domestic flight arrived in Hanimaadhoo in the afternoon. Once everyone was settled onboard Sea Spirit and the orientation briefing and paperwork were completed, we had dinner and relaxed for the rest of the evening, in preparation for an early start and dive briefing in the morning.
Day 1
Dive 1
Aquarium, Haa Alifu – Super check dive. 6 mantas stayed with us throughout the dive. We also saw blue stripped snapper, small eyed sting ray and oriental sweet lips.
Dive 2
Aquarium, Haa Alifu – 8 mantas, blue stripped snapper, hawksbills, oriental sweet lips, red tooth triggerfish all over the reef and a golden flecked moray sharing a hole with a clouded moray.
Dive 3
Francos Special Shark Point, Haa Dhaalu – Grey reef sharks, a giant guitar fish, goat fish, blue stripped, one spot, humpback and bengal snapper and a huge school of big eye trevally being attacked by dog tooth tuna
Day 2
Dive 1
Francos Special Shark Point, Haa Dhaalu – We saw the giant guitar fish again, as well as a zebra shark, grey reef sharks white tips, a school of big eye and giant trevally, rainbow runners, dog tooth tuna, blue fin jacks, blue stripped and humpback snapper and goat fish.
Dive 2
Heaven & Hell, Haa Dhaalu – A nurse shark, mangrove whiptail ray, blue stripped, humpback and red snapper, rainbow runners, fusiliers and octopus. Superb overhangs and soft corals on the rock pinnacles.
Dive 3
Don Thila, Haa Dhaalu – A beautiful oasis of marine life - Juvenile silver tips, grey reef sharks, a giant guitar fish, a huge school of big eye and golden trevally, amber jacks and rainbow runners.
Day 3
Dive 1
Nidi, Haa Dhaalu – 6 bottle nose dolphins swam passed us during our safety stop, which was exciting. We also saw a guitar fish, 3 zebra sharks, silver tips, large grey reef sharks, thread fin jacks, a school of giant golden trevally, blue fin jacks and rainbow runners.
Dive 2
Moroshi Thila, Shaviyani – A giant guitar fish, nurse sharks, blue stripped snapper, masses of fusiliers, napoleons and blue fin jacks.
Dive 3
Orange Thila, Shaviyani – A giant guitar fish, juvenile silver tips, marbled, pink whiptail and feathertail rays, a hawksbill and a large school of golden, blue fin and big eye trevally.
Day 4
Dive 1
Stone Henge, Shaviyani – 6 nurse sharks, 12 large grey reef sharks, an eagle ray, a very large barracuda having her teeth cleaned, a large silver tip sleeping in a cave, a huge school of golden and big eye trevally, rainbow runners and vlamings unicorn fish.
Dive 2
Lola, Shaviyani – Stunning dive – fish soup! Soft coral festooned over the rock pinnacles and overhangs, grey reef sharks, a large nurse shark, golden and giant trevally, rainbow runners and surgeon fish.
Dive 3
Orimas Thila, Noonu – A fantastic all action dive! A giant guitar fish, a pregnant grey reef shark, eagle ray, fosters and chevron barracuda and big eye and giant trevally hunting with dog tooth tuna.
Day 5
Dive 1
Orimas Thila, Noonu – What a fantastic dive – grey reef sharks, 4 baby eagle rays, white tips, giant trevally, dog tooth tuna, octopus with blue fin trevally and a grouper hunting antheas. It was great to watch the octopus chase them out of the safety of the coral. Giant, chevron and fosters barracuda, big eye jacks and blue stripped snapper.
Dive 2
Kuredu Express, Ihaviyani Atoll – Green turtles, grey reef sharks, white tips, honeycomb moray, giant sweetlips, blue tangs, racoon and red tail butterfly fish, peacock mantis shrimp, pompano and big eye and giant trevally.
Dive 3
Angoo Haa, Ihaviyani Atoll – What a stunning and unique dive! The whole top of the thila was covered in magnificent anemonies – blue, pink, orange, green and purple, as well as blue fin trevally, peacock mantis shrimp, bearded scorpion fish, blue stripped snapper and glass fish.
Day 6
Dive 1
Collusium, North Male – 10 large eagle rays, white tips, large napoleons, schools of midnight and red snapper, long nose emperor, waves of fusiliers and giant trevally out hunting.
Dive 2
Aquarium, North Male – 4 eagle rays, white tips, green and hawksbill turtles, feathertail sting ray, coral blocks smoothed by oriental sweet lips, humpback, blue stripped, midnight and red snapper and red tail butterfly fish.
Dive 3
Fish Tank, North Male – Fantastic Dive! At the start of the dive a giant guitar fish swam around us for about 10 minutes. We then saw 30+ pink whiptail and mangrove whiptail rays, marbled and feather tail rays, banner fish, vlamings unicorn fish and honeycomb, giant, clouded, yellow margin and white eyed morays.

Emboodhoo Kandu, South Male – 12 eagle ray, 16 grey reef sharks, white tips, big eye trevally, dog tooth tuna, a large napoleon, giant trevally out hunting with long nose emperor, oriental sweet lips, red tail butterfly fish and a hawksbill turtle.
Dive 2
Coco Thila, South Male – Beautiful soft coral on the overhangs, 4 eagle rays, grey reef sharks, a nurse shark, oriental sweet lips, turtles and a large school of midnight snapper, fosters barracuda and big eye trevally.
Dive 3
Medu Kandu, South Male – 8 eagle rays, grey reef sharks, white tips, a very friendly napoleon, schools of banner fish, midnight snapper, blue fin jacks, dog tooth tuna and giant trevally.
Day 8

Coco Thila, South Male – A squadron of 14 eagle rays, grey reef sharks, white tips, big eye and giant trevally, red and midnight snapper, surgeon fish, turtles, dog tooth tuna and long nose emperor fish.
Dive 2
Devanu Kandu, Vaavu Atoll – 12 eagle ray, 26 baby grey reef sharks with adults, white tips, feathertail sting ray and a large school of fosters barracuda.
Dive 3
Rakeedhoo, South Vaava Atoll – Stunning soft blue coral overhangs on the corner, giant trevally, grey reef sharks, white tips, napoleons, big eye trevally and rainbow runners.

Vattaru Kandu, Vaavu Atoll – 3 mantas, white tips, mobula ray, feather tail sting ray, mangrove whip tail ray, fosters barracuda and big eye trevally.

Vanhurrahvalhi Kandu, Meemu Atoll – Spectacular soft yellow coral on the overhangs on the front of the channel, 30+ grey reef sharks, white tips, a squadron of 10 eagle rays, big eye trevally, midnight and humpback snapper and hawksbill turtles.
Dive 3
Muli Kandu Beyru, Meemu Atoll – Masses of fish life, oriental sweet lips, midnight and humpback snapper, big eye and giant trevally, grey reef sharks, eagle ray and peacock flounder.

Kurelhi Kandu, Meemu Atoll – WOW, a manta and an eagle ray stayed with us throughout the dive! We also saw 5 other eagle rays, razor and reindeer wrasse, octopus, napoleon, oriental sweet lips and a marbled sting ray.
Dive 2
Thaa Muli, Thaa Atoll – Green and hawksbill turtles and a large school of big eye trevally, giant barracuda and humpback snapper.
Dive 3
Diyamagaiil Corner, Thaa Atoll – 2 eagle rays, a black tip reef shark, grey reef sharks, white tips, green and hawksbill turtles, a school of humpback snapper and batfish.
Day 11
Dive 1
Ishdhoo, Laamu Atoll – Fantastic drift dive! Spectacular soft yellow coral on the overhangs and reef wall, a huge school of big eye and blue fin trevally, eagle ray, a family of napoleons, hawksbills, pompano, humpback and midnight snapper and giant barracuda.
Dive 2
Mahbaidhoo Kandu, Laamu Atoll – What a great dive! A giant ornate eagle ray, 19 spotted eagle rays, baby silver tips, white tips, fosters barracuda and midnight and humpback snapper.
Dive 3
Mahbaidhoo Kandu, Laamu Atoll – 16 eagle rays, baby silver tips, grey reef sharks, white tips, oceanic trigger fish, fosters and giant barracuda and midnight snapper.
Day 12

Mahbaidhoo Kandu, Laamu Atoll – Grey reef sharks, white tips, a hawksbill, eagle ray and schools of humpback snapper and giant barracuda.
Dive 2
Hithadhoo Corner, Laamu Atoll – Green and hawksbill turtles, a school of blue stripped and humpback snapper, yellow goat fish, razor wrasse and goby and partner shrimps.

Villingilli Kandu, Gaafu Alifu – 50+ grey reef sharks, eagle rays, white tips, black tips, turtles, batfish, big eye trevally, midnight snapper, fosters and chevron barracuda, ribbon eels and leaf fish.

Villingilli Kandu, Gaafu Alifu – 50+ grey reef sharks, eagle rays, white tips, black tips, turtles, batfish, big eye trevally, midnight snapper, fosters and chevron barracuda, ribbon eels and leaf fish.

Koodhoo Harbour – Action packed dive. OMG a BULL SHARK !!! Spinner sharks feeding on fish scraps, bumphead parrot fish, hawksbills, rainbow runner and napoleons.

Villingilli Kandu, Gaafu Alifu – 50+ grey reef sharks, eagle rays, white tips, black tips, turtles, batfish, big eye trevally, midnight snapper, fosters and chevron barracuda, ribbon eels and leaf fish.
Dive 2
Nilandhoo Kandu, Gaafu Alifu – Grey reef sharks, green turtles, white tips, napoleons, black jacks, blue fin jacks, giant and big eye trevally and dog tooth tuna.
Dive 3
Maariah Kandu, Gaafu Dhaalu – Lots of turtles, baby eagle ray, pompano, puffer fish and red snapper.

Gemanafushi Beyru, Gaafu Dhaalu – 2 HAMMERHEADS!, 2 silky sharks, grey reef sharks, eagle ray, wahoo, dog tooth tuna and rainbow runners.
Dive 2
Maarehu Kandu, Gaafu Dhaalu – Eagle ray, grey reef sharks, white tips, napoleons, big eye trevally, green turtles and midnight snapper.
Dive 3
Maarehu Kandu, Gaafu Dhaalu – Great drift dive down a beautiful sand channel! Grey reef sharks, black tips, white tips, napoleons, rainbow runner, green turtles and a large school of big eye trevally.

Fuvahmulah Plateau, Fuvahmulah – Giant manta birostris, giant barracuda, big eye trevally, rainbow runner and surgeon fish.
Dive 2
Fuvahmulah Plateau, Fuvahmulah – Another fantastic dive! 3 TIGER SHARKS, a giant manta birostris, grey reef sharks.
Day 17

Fuvahmulah Plateau, Fuvahmulah – 3 TIGER SHARKS!! Giant manta birostris, giant barracuda, white tips and wahoo.
Dive 2
Tiger Zoo, Fuvahmulah – OMG what an incredible dive! 14 different TIGER SHARKS ranging from large females to young adolescents!!!
Dive 3
British Loyalty, Addu Atoll – WW2 wreck. We dived around the stern propellers, an explosion hole and then the bow.

Day 18
Dive 1
Fen Muli, Addu Atoll – Cracking Dive! A 10 metre WHALE SHARK came up from the depths, as we entered the water. It swam around us for a short while before swimming off. We also saw white tips, a feather tail sting ray, pink whip tail ray, giant barracuda, big eye trevally and rainbow runners.
Dive 2
Mudakan, Addu Atoll – Lovely dive. 8 different mantas and 2 grey reef sharks at the cleaning station.
Dive 3
Mudakan, Addu Atoll – black tips, blue stripped snapper and napoleons.
Day 19
Dive 1
Fen Muli, Addu Atoll – We drifted on to the reef and were immediately surrounded by one of the biggest schools of big eye trevally that we have ever seen. We also saw rainbow runner, feather tail sting ray, white tips sleeping in the sand, grey reef sharks cruising on the reef plate and some beautiful corals – stunning topography.
Dive 2
Mudakan, Addu Atoll – Last dive of the trip. 2 mantas swam with us for the entire dive.
Day 20
Guest Transfer
WHAT AN EPIC TRIP. 14 species of sharks - Bull shark (our first ever sighting in the Maldives), tiger sharks, thresher sharks, scalloped hammerhead sharks, whale sharks (Galapagos size, not the tiddlers in Maamagili), spinner sharks, silky sharks, silver tips, variegated sharks, giant guitar sharks, nurse sharks, grey reef, white tips and black tips!! Rays – Oceanic manta ray (birostris) reef manta ray (alfredi), giant ornate eagle ray (very rare), spotted eagle ray, mangrove whip tail ray, pink whip tail ray and marbled ray! Transfer – We transferred all of the guests to Gan to catch their domestic flights back to Male.

Fen Muli, Addu Atoll – Cracking Dive! A 10 metre WHALE SHARK came up from the depths, as we entered the water. It swam around us for a short while before swimming off. We also saw white tips, a feather tail sting ray, pink whip tail ray, giant barracuda, big eye trevally and rainbow runners.

Mudakan, Addu Atoll – Lovely dive. 8 different mantas and 2 grey reef sharks at the cleaning station.
Dive 3
Mudakan, Addu Atoll – black tips, blue stripped snapper and napoleons.

Fen Muli, Addu Atoll – We drifted on to the reef and were immediately surrounded by one of the biggest schools of big eye trevally that we have ever seen. We also saw rainbow runner, feather tail sting ray, white tips sleeping in the sand, grey reef sharks cruising on the reef plate and some beautiful corals – stunning topography.

Mudakan, Addu Atoll – Last dive of the trip. 2 mantas swam with us for the entire dive.

Guest Transfer
WHAT AN EPIC TRIP. 14 species of sharks - Bull shark (our first ever sighting in the Maldives), tiger sharks, thresher sharks, scalloped hammerhead sharks, whale sharks (Galapagos size, not the tiddlers in Maamagili), spinner sharks, silky sharks, silver tips, variegated sharks, giant guitar sharks, nurse sharks, grey reef, white tips and black tips!! Rays – Oceanic manta ray (birostris) reef manta ray (alfredi), giant ornate eagle ray (very rare), spotted eagle ray, mangrove whip tail ray, pink whip tail ray and marbled ray! Transfer – We transferred all of the guests to Gan to catch their domestic flights back to Male.

Nassimo – Spectacular soft coral on the overhangs and rock pinnacles. Giant trevally hunting waves of fusiliers, schools of vlamings unicorn fish, blue stripped snapper and hawksbills.

Fish Tank – 40+ pink whiptail, marbled, mangrove whiptail ray and honeycomb moray fighting, as well as white eyed, giant, fimbriated and golden flecked moray, a giant guitar fish, a huge school of fusiliers, banner fish and napoleons.

Maayafushi - What a beautiful dive – A manta joined us and performed what can only be called a feeding ballet, it was absolutely spellbinding!

All of the guests arrived into Koodhoo in the afternoon and were transferred to Sea Spirit. Once everyone was settled onboard and briefings done we had dinner and relaxed for the rest of the evening.
Day 1
Dive 1
Paperwork and formalities completed in preparation for the check dive. Kuredhdhoo Kandu – Check dive. What a stunning drift dive down the channel. Grey reef sharks, eagle rays, white tips, green and hawksbill turtles and beautiful golden gorgonian fan corals.
Dive 2
Maareha Kandu – What a fantastic dive. Eagle rays, white tips and grey reef sharks on the outside reef. Once we started to drift down the sand and coral garden we were greeted by a large number of eagle rays and green turtles. Towards the end of the dive we drifted over the reef and had, what was like a firework display of green turtles shooting off as well as big eye trevally, black jacks, great barracuda and a school of pompano.
Dive 3
Maareha Kandu – Striped marlin, 17 eagle rays dive bombing us, grey reef sharks, white tips, numerous green and hawksbill turtles and a giant school of big eye trevally.

Maareha Kandu – What a fabulous start to the day. 19 eagle rays, grey reef sharks, white tips, baby eagle rays and green and hawksbill turtles.
Dive 2
Nilandhoo Kandu – What a great dive. Eagle rays on the corner, black jacks, grey reef sharks and white tips shooting down the channel AND green turtle after green turtle. At the end of the dive we got spun out by turbulence - great fun!
Dive 3
Villingilli Kandu – We descended into the blue and was met by a huge school of trevally, midnight snapper, great and forsters barracuda, THEN, it was like looking at shark wallpaper, maybe 100 grey reef sharks, hurtling down the channel.
Day 3
Snorkelling
We woke the guests up very early, as we had a baby whale shark feeding at the back of the boat. Everyone enjoyed snorkelling with it for around an hour.
Dive 1
Villingilli Kandu – Shark wallpaper again, including grey reef sharks, white tips and black tip reef sharks. We also saw eagle rays, green turtles, porcupine ray, a school of batfish, a big school of midnight snapper and big eye trevally, forsters barracuda and dog tooth tuna.
Dive 2
Villingilli Kandu – Grey reef sharks, white tips, black tip reef sharks, eagle rays, leaf fish, ribbon eels, green and hawksbill turtles and a school of batfish.
Dive 3
Spinner Shark Dive – WOW! High voltage spinner shark action for around 30 minutes. What a fantastic display.

Villingilli Kandu – Hundreds of grey reef sharks, white tips, 5 eagle rays, green turtles, bump head parrot fish, a school of forsters barracuda and big eye trevally AND a nurse shark.
Dive 2
Villingilli Beyru – Excellent dive. 11 nurse sharks, marbled ray, white tips, grey reef sharks, a huge school of midnight snapper, big eye trevally, a big school of blue fin jacks, black jacks, oriental sweet lips, cascading neon fusiliers, a school of unicorn fish and red snapper.

Hithadhoo Manta Point – At the start of the dive we saw a manta who passed by twice, followed by eagle rays, white tips, grey reef sharks and a huge school of big eye trevally. We also saw green and hawksbill turtles being cleaned on the coral heads.
Dive 2
Maabaidhoo Kandu – WOW – we saw a beautiful giant ornate eagle ray, 27 spotted eagle rays, grey reef sharks, a massive school of midnight snapper, chevron and forsters barracuda, great barracuda, red snapper and fusiliers in their thousands!! We also saw a massive pod of dolphins on the way to and from the dive site. What a delight.

Maabaidhoo Kandu – Another incredible great dive. 24 eagle rays, grey reef sharks, white tips, red and midnight snapper, chevron and forsters barracuda. We also snorkelled with the pod of dolphins after the dive.

Isdhoo Muli – Spectacular scenery, clear blue water, soft yellow corals, a big school of bumphead parrot fish, schools of big eye trevally, rainbow runner, midnight snapper and racoon butterfly fish.
Dive 2
Diyamagilli Corner – Despite the strong current we saw grey reef sharks, white tips, green and hawksbill turtles, oriental sweetlips and hump back snapper.
Dive 3
Guraidhoo Corner – Despite the strong current we saw a big school of big eye trevally, dog tooth tuna, giant trevally, blue fin jacks, rainbow runners, unicorn fish and hawksbill turtles.

Diyamagilli Blue – Blue water dive in search of hammerheads, but sadly no sightings.
Dive 2
Kurali Manta Point - We had 4 mantas with us for the whole dive, as well as, eagle rays, napoleons, oriental sweetlips, racoon butterfly fish, blue fin jacks and white tips.
Dive 3
Kurali Manta Point - We had 3 mantas with us for the whole dive, plus 15 eagle rays, a hawksbill turtle, napoleons, oriental sweet lips, blue fin jack and giant trevally.
Day 8

Kurali Manta Point - 6 mantas, eagle rays, marbled sting ray, a big school of blue stripped and humpback snapper, napoleons, eagle rays, white tips and garden eels in the sand.
Dive 2
Muli Kandu – What an incredible dive. We dropped into the blue on the split current and immediately saw a huge school of midnight snapper and big eye trevally, as well as giant dog tooth tuna out hunting, waves of neon fusiliers, grey reef sharks, eagle rays, bump head parrot fish, oriental sweetlips, humpback snapper and a school of red tail butterfly fish.
Dive 3
Vanharavalhi Kandu – Fantastic blue water dive. Waves and waves of grey reef sharks, white tips, eagle rays, big eye, giant and blue fin trevally, a massive school of midnight snapper, stunning soft yellow corals on the overhangs at the mouth of the channel.
Day 9
Dive 1
Vattaru Kandu - Spectacular drop off, manta ray, white tips, feather tail sting ray, hawksbill turtles, hump back snapper, magnificent anemones covering the reef top smothered in black foot anemone fish.
Dive 2
Devanu Kandu – We descended from the blue into the mouth of the channel, where we were greeted by grey reef sharks, dog tooth tuna and white tips. As we started to drift we had 19 eagle ray check us out. Drifting further into the channel over small thilas we saw waves of fusiliers, blue stripped snapper and more eagle rays. What a beautiful topography drift.

Alimtathaa Jetty - 8 nurse sharks of all sizes buzzing around the divers for the whole dive. 4 pink whip tail rays, marbled rays, eagle rays, white and black tips.
Day 10

Miyaru Kandu - Hundreds of grey reef sharks, white tips, eagle rays, honeycomb and giant moray, a big school of big eye trevally, rainbow runners, napoleons and black ribbon eels.
Dive 2
Hathi Corner - 2 leaf fish, peacock mantis shrimps, spearing mantis shrimp, honeycomb and black cheek moray, giant barracuda and blue and yellow ribbon eels.
Dive 3
Coco Thila – What a fast drift dive. Beautiful soft coral on the overhangs and rock pinnacles, green turtles, white tips, oriental sweetlips, red and midnight snapper and a big school of forsters barracuda.

Kuda Giri & Wreck – Last dive of the trip. What a beautiful relaxing dive, we dropped onto the wreck for exploration then moved onto the reef, where we saw reef pipe fish, a common lion fish, amboin shrimps, banded boxer shrimps, a glass fish in the wheel house, titan chromodoris nudi branch and several octopus.

Villingilli Beyru – Excellent dive. 11 nurse sharks, marbled ray, white tips, grey reef sharks, a huge school of midnight snapper, big eye trevally, a big school of blue fin jacks, black jacks, oriental sweet lips, cascading neon fusiliers, a school of unicorn fish and red snapper.

Hithadhoo Manta Point – At the start of the dive we saw a manta who passed by twice, followed by eagle rays, white tips, grey reef sharks and a huge school of big eye trevally. We also saw green and hawksbill turtles being cleaned on the coral heads.

Maabaidhoo Kandu – WOW – we saw a beautiful giant ornate eagle ray, 27 spotted eagle rays, grey reef sharks, a massive school of midnight snapper, chevron and forsters barracuda, great barracuda, red snapper and fusiliers in their thousands!! We also saw a massive pod of dolphins on the way to and from the dive site. What a delight.

Maabaidhoo Kandu – Another incredible great dive. 24 eagle rays, grey reef sharks, white tips, red and midnight snapper, chevron and forsters barracuda. We also snorkelled with the pod of dolphins after the dive.

Isdhoo Muli – Spectacular scenery, clear blue water, soft yellow corals, a big school of bumphead parrot fish, schools of big eye trevally, rainbow runner, midnight snapper and racoon butterfly fish.

Diyamagilli Corner – Despite the strong current we saw grey reef sharks, white tips, green and hawksbill turtles, oriental sweetlips and hump back snapper.

Guraidhoo Corner – Despite the strong current we saw a big school of big eye trevally, dog tooth tuna, giant trevally, blue fin jacks, rainbow runners, unicorn fish and hawksbill turtles.

Kurali Manta Point - We had 4 mantas with us for the whole dive, as well as, eagle rays, napoleons, oriental sweetlips, racoon butterfly fish, blue fin jacks and white tips.

Kurali Manta Point - We had 3 mantas with us for the whole dive, plus 15 eagle rays, a hawksbill turtle, napoleons, oriental sweet lips, blue fin jack and giant trevally.

Kurali Manta Point - 6 mantas, eagle rays, marbled sting ray, a big school of blue stripped and humpback snapper, napoleons, eagle rays, white tips and garden eels in the sand.

Muli Kandu – What an incredible dive. We dropped into the blue on the split current and immediately saw a huge school of midnight snapper and big eye trevally, as well as giant dog tooth tuna out hunting, waves of neon fusiliers, grey reef sharks, eagle rays, bump head parrot fish, oriental sweetlips, humpback snapper and a school of red tail butterfly fish.

Vanharavalhi Kandu – Fantastic blue water dive. Waves and waves of grey reef sharks, white tips, eagle rays, big eye, giant and blue fin trevally, a massive school of midnight snapper, stunning soft yellow corals on the overhangs at the mouth of the channel.

Vattaru Kandu - Spectacular drop off, manta ray, white tips, feather tail sting ray, hawksbill turtles, hump back snapper, magnificent anemones covering the reef top smothered in black foot anemone fish.
Dive 2
Devanu Kandu – We descended from the blue into the mouth of the channel, where we were greeted by grey reef sharks, dog tooth tuna and white tips. As we started to drift we had 19 eagle ray check us out. Drifting further into the channel over small thilas we saw waves of fusiliers, blue stripped snapper and more eagle rays. What a beautiful topography drift.

Alimtathaa Jetty - 8 nurse sharks of all sizes buzzing around the divers for the whole dive. 4 pink whip tail rays, marbled rays, eagle rays, white and black tips.

Miyaru Kandu - Hundreds of grey reef sharks, white tips, eagle rays, honeycomb and giant moray, a big school of big eye trevally, rainbow runners, napoleons and black ribbon eels.
Dive 2
Hathi Corner - 2 leaf fish, peacock mantis shrimps, spearing mantis shrimp, honeycomb and black cheek moray, giant barracuda and blue and yellow ribbon eels.
Dive 3
Coco Thila – What a fast drift dive. Beautiful soft coral on the overhangs and rock pinnacles, green turtles, white tips, oriental sweetlips, red and midnight snapper and a big school of forsters barracuda.

Kuda Giri & Wreck – Last dive of the trip. What a beautiful relaxing dive, we dropped onto the wreck for exploration then moved onto the reef, where we saw reef pipe fish, a common lion fish, amboin shrimps, banded boxer shrimps, a glass fish in the wheel house, titan chromodoris nudi branch and several octopus.

All of the guests arrived into Gan in the afternoon and were transferred to Sea Spirit. Once everyone was settled on board and briefings done we had dinner and relaxed for the rest of the evening.

Paperwork and formalities completed in preparation for the check dive. The Chain – Check dive. WW2 chain, which held a submarine blocking net across the channel. We saw 2 mantas, grey reef sharks, fosters barracuda, powder blue tangs, antheas and chromis all over the top of the beautiful hard coral.
Dive 2
Mudakan – Fantastic mantas, 12 in all, cleaning on the coral blocks, as well a grey reef shark, who came to join in. We also saw white tips, blue stripped snapper and napoleons.
Dive 3
Kuda Kandu – 3 mantas, grey reef sharks, white tips, eagle rays, rainbow runner, big eye and island trevally, black jacks and lovely hard and soft corals all along the mouth of the channel.

Dive 1
All of the guests arrived in the afternoon and were transferred to Sea Spirit. Once everyone was settled on board and briefings done, we helped the guests complete the appropriate paperwork and formalities in preparation for the check dive. We checked everyone’s weights and buoyancy in a shallow lagoon, due to the guests late arrival, before heading out to see if we could find a whale shark. We were in luck, we snorkelled with 3 WHALE SHARKS, dolphins and mobula ray, who came to the back of the boat under our lights.
Day 1
Dive 1
Villingilli Corner – Great first dive! We started on the outside of the reef and made our way to the mouth of the channel, where we saw grey reef sharks, white tips, mobula rays, eagle rays, a nurse shark, ribbon eels, pompanos, bat fish and over 20 green turtles!
Dive 2
Villingilli Corner – We jumped into the blue, close to the mouth of the channel and saw a huge school of trevally, midnight snapper, fosters barracuda and grey reef sharks, who were chasing fusiliers. We then went on to drift into the channel and was met by 4 eagle rays, a large number of green turtles and 2 very robust ghost pipe fish.
Dive 3
Villingilli North Corner - WOW, a large number of grey reef sharks all coming in waves and with a silky shark amongst them. We also saw white tips drifting down the channel, octopus, a family of napoleons, milk fish, pompanos and circular batfish. At the end of the dive we saw a great number of green turtles just chilling out together.
Day 2
Dive 1
Villingilli Beyru – What a beautiful and relaxing drift dive on the outside reef. A large silver tip, grey reef sharks, white tips, black tips, nurse sharks, parrot fish, honeycomb and giant moray and a few hawksbill turtles.
Dive 2
Nilandhoo South – We entered the water on the reef, away from the corner and was greeted by 7 eagle rays and a mobula ray! At the mouth of the channel there was a large school of big eye trevally and midnight snapper, as well as, grey reef sharks and white tips. We then swiftly drifted along passed a beautiful coral garden inside the channel where we were joined by a large number of green turtles, eagle rays, blue stripped snapper and circular bat fish.
Dive 3
Spinner Shark Dive – Jumped in outside the harbour and was joined by 20+ spinner sharks, all feeding on scraps left by the local fishermen. After which we headed inside the reef and met with the channel current, lots of green turtles, napoleons, pompanos, red snapper, rainbow runner and a large school of surgeon fish.

Lisa and 6 of the guests enjoyed a leisurely stroll around the island of Nilandhoo.

Koodhoo Channel – Lovely drift over a beautiful coral garden and grey reef sharks, white tips, big eye trevally, green and hawksbill turtles and napoleons.
Dive 2
Kuredhdhoo – Super drift dive - grey reef sharks and eagle rays at the mouth of the channel, then stunning scenery – golden gorgonian fan corals, soft orange corals and pristine coral garden. ZEBRA SHARK, white tips, napoleons, more eagle rays and schools of blue stripper and midnight snapper.

Nilandhoo South Beyru – A super dive - 2 marlin, a school of eagle rays, grey reef sharks, white tips, green turtles galore and hawksbills.
Day 4

Vodumola – we entered the water quite a way from the mouth of the channel and drifted towards it. We saw a ZEBRA SHARK, 2 wahoo fish, dog tooth tuna, white tips, 5 eagle ray, a big school of red snapper, before drifting in to the channel over a beautiful coral garden festooned with antheas, colourful basslets and chromis.

Funadhoo – Silky shark, white tips, black jacks, blue fin trevally, rainbow runner, gilded trigger fish and juvenile napoleon wrasses.
Dive 3
Maarehah Kandu – 30+ eagle ray, grey reef sharks, rainbow runner, big eye trevally, thread fin jacks and a large number of green turtles.

Gemanafushi Beyru – 2 silky sharks, wahoo fish, dog tooth tuna, black jacks, blue fin trevally, rainbow runner and fusiliers.

Maarehah Kandu – Jumped in at the mouth of the channel and saw grey reef sharks, eagle rays, napoleons, hawksbill turtles, big eye trevally, rainbow runner, black jacks and island trevally.
Dive 3
Maarehah Kandu – Great dive and awesome drift - We drifted on to the south corner of the channel where we were greeted by eagle rays, white tips, big eye trevally and midnight snapper. We then headed inside and down a sand channel, where there were yet more eagle rays and green turtles. At one point during the dive we were surrounded by thousands of fusiliers, that were being hunted by blue fin jacks, amazing.

Ghadhoo Corner – Green turtles, feather tail sting ray, white tips, a hawksbill, midnight snapper, soldier fish and squirrel fish.
Dive 2
Fuvamulah South – As we approached the plateau we spotted 3 THREASHER SHARKS!! We spent around 5 minutes with them before we needed to ascend along the main reef, where we saw a number of giant barracuda and dog tooth tuna.

Guest Transfer –A majority of the guests were transferred to Gan Airport to catch their domestic flight back to Male, whilst 2 stayed in Gan before continuing with their back-to-back trip.
Day 13
 
Dive 1
All of the guests arrived in the afternoon and were transferred to Sea Spirit. Once everyone was settled on board and briefings done, we helped the guests complete the appropriate paperwork and formalities in preparation for the check dive. We checked everyone’s weights and buoyancy in a shallow lagoon, due to the guests late arrival, before heading out to see if we could find a whale shark. We were in luck, we snorkelled with 3 WHALE SHARKS, dolphins and mobula ray, who came to the back of the boat under our lights.
Day 1
Dive 1
Villingilli Corner – Great first dive! We started on the outside of the reef and made our way to the mouth of the channel, where we saw grey reef sharks, white tips, mobula rays, eagle rays, a nurse shark, ribbon eels, pompanos, bat fish and over 20 green turtles!
Dive 2
Villingilli Corner – We jumped into the blue, close to the mouth of the channel and saw a huge school of trevally, midnight snapper, fosters barracuda and grey reef sharks, who were chasing fusiliers. We then went on to drift into the channel and was met by 4 eagle rays, a large number of green turtles and 2 very robust ghost pipe fish.
Dive 3
Villingilli North Corner - WOW, a large number of grey reef sharks all coming in waves and with a silky shark amongst them. We also saw white tips drifting down the channel, octopus, a family of napoleons, milk fish, pompanos and circular batfish. At the end of the dive we saw a great number of green turtles just chilling out together.
Day 2
Dive 1
Villingilli Beyru – What a beautiful and relaxing drift dive on the outside reef. A large silver tip, grey reef sharks, white tips, black tips, nurse sharks, parrot fish, honeycomb and giant moray and a few hawksbill turtles.
Dive 2
Nilandhoo South – We entered the water on the reef, away from the corner and was greeted by 7 eagle rays and a mobula ray! At the mouth of the channel there was a large school of big eye trevally and midnight snapper, as well as, grey reef sharks and white tips. We then swiftly drifted along passed a beautiful coral garden inside the channel where we were joined by a large number of green turtles, eagle rays, blue stripped snapper and circular bat fish.
Dive 3
Spinner Shark Dive – Jumped in outside the harbour and was joined by 20+ spinner sharks, all feeding on scraps left by the local fishermen. After which we headed inside the reef and met with the channel current, lots of green turtles, napoleons, pompanos, red snapper, rainbow runner and a large school of surgeon fish.
Evening Activity
Lisa and 6 of the guests enjoyed a leisurely stroll around the island of Nilandhoo.

Dive 1
Koodhoo Channel – Lovely drift over a beautiful coral garden and grey reef sharks, white tips, big eye trevally, green and hawksbill turtles and napoleons.
Dive 2
Kuredhdhoo – Super drift dive - grey reef sharks and eagle rays at the mouth of the channel, then stunning scenery – golden gorgonian fan corals, soft orange corals and pristine coral garden. ZEBRA SHARK, white tips, napoleons, more eagle rays and schools of blue stripper and midnight snapper.
Dive 3
Nilandhoo South Beyru – A super dive - 2 marlin, a school of eagle rays, grey reef sharks, white tips, green turtles galore and hawksbills.
Day 4
Dive 1
Vodumola – we entered the water quite a way from the mouth of the channel and drifted towards it. We saw a ZEBRA SHARK, 2 wahoo fish, dog tooth tuna, white tips, 5 eagle ray, a big school of red snapper, before drifting in to the channel over a beautiful coral garden festooned with antheas, colourful basslets and chromis.

Funadhoo – Silky shark, white tips, black jacks, blue fin trevally, rainbow runner, gilded trigger fish and juvenile napoleon wrasses.
Dive 3
Maarehah Kandu – 30+ eagle ray, grey reef sharks, rainbow runner, big eye trevally, thread fin jacks and a large number of green turtles.
Day 5
Dive 1
Gemanafushi Beyru – 2 silky sharks, wahoo fish, dog tooth tuna, black jacks, blue fin trevally, rainbow runner and fusiliers.
Dive 2
Maarehah Kandu – Jumped in at the mouth of the channel and saw grey reef sharks, eagle rays, napoleons, hawksbill turtles, big eye trevally, rainbow runner, black jacks and island trevally.
Dive 3
Maarehah Kandu – Great dive and awesome drift - We drifted on to the south corner of the channel where we were greeted by eagle rays, white tips, big eye trevally and midnight snapper. We then headed inside and down a sand channel, where there were yet more eagle rays and green turtles. At one point during the dive we were surrounded by thousands of fusiliers, that were being hunted by blue fin jacks, amazing.

Ghadhoo Corner – Green turtles, feather tail sting ray, white tips, a hawksbill, midnight snapper, soldier fish and squirrel fish.
Dive 2
Fuvamulah South – As we approached the plateau we spotted 3 THREASHER SHARKS!! We spent around 5 minutes with them before we needed to ascend along the main reef, where we saw a number of giant barracuda and dog tooth tuna.

Fuvamulah South – TIGER SHARK! ….. and giant barracuda, wahoo and white tips.
Dive 2
Tiger Zoo – WOW!!!!! 5 TIGER SHARKS up close and personal for the whole dive!
Dive 3
Fuvamulah South – So many giant barracuda, huge groupers and big eye trevally.
Day 8
Dive 1
Fuvamulah South – grey reef sharks, giant barracuda, wahoo and a huge school of rainbow runner.
Dive 2
Mudakan – Lovely dive – a manta, napoleons, saddleback groupers and a large school of blue stripped snapper.
Dive 3
Purple Wall – Plenty of small stuff to see – a colourful but unknown tambja nudibranch (sea slug), leaf fish, a long nosed hawkfish, scorpion fish and a lion fish. The wall was stunning – wave after wave of beautiful purple fan corals and pink sponges, hence its name.
Day 9

Fen Muli – Grey reef sharks, white tips, feathertail sting ray, pink whiptail ray, a nurse shark, giant barracuda, big eye trevally, rainbow runner and a large number of pompano.
Dive 2
Mudakan – MANTASTIC!!! 11 MANTAS on the cleaning station for the whole dive!
Dive 3
Koattey – White tips, green and hawksbill turtles, feathertail ray and a large school of convict tangs.
Day 10
Dive 1
Fen Muli – A very relaxing dive, as no current. Oceanis manta, feathertail ray, midnight and red snapper, milk fish and fusiliers.
Dive 2
Mudakan – MANTASTIC!!! 7 mantas cleaning, grey reef sharks, blue stripped snapper, rainbow runners, napoleons, squirrel fish and soldier fish.
Dive 3
Turtle Point – Lots of green and hawksbill turtles and a big school of powder blue tangs.

Kuda Kandu – A swift drift dive along the channel wall - White tips, hawksbill and green turtles.
Dive 2
The Chain Addu – LAST DIVE OF THE TRIP – A great and relaxing drift dive with 3 mantas. We also saw a WW2 chain, which held a submarine blocking net across the channel.

Rasfari North – Great check dive. We saw stunning burnt orange anemones, a manta, a silver tip, a marbled sting ray, a huge shoal of batfish, white tips, a hawksbill turtle, a white mouthed moray and an octopus.
Dive 2
Rasdhoo – Fab dive – 12 eagle rays, 8 mobula rays, a silver tip, grey reef sharks, white tips, napoleons and a huge school of big eye trevally.
Dive 3
Maaya Thila – Excellent dive! Hawksbill turtles, a baby eagle ray, white tips, baby grey reef sharks, golden trevally, blue stripped snapper, barracuda and a pair of octopus.
Night Dive
Maayafushi Mantas – A manta swam with us for the whole dive, performing, barrel rolling and swooping over the divers heads.
Day 2

Moofushi - MANTASTIC!!!! 12 mantas, eagle ray, white tips, grey reef sharks, beautiful porieties corals all covered in blue stripped and humpback snapper.
Dive 2
Kalahandi Huraa – 5 mantas, grey reef sharks, white tips, hawksbill turtles, waves of fusiliers, dog tooth tuna, napoleons, blue stripped snapper and a peacock flounder.
Dive 3
Rangali Madivaru – WOW, we were lucky enough to have 6 female mantas swim with us for around 30 minutes. It was also exciting to see a giant trevally catch a fish, only then to have it snatched by a white tip.

Huruelhi Kandu – Great dive. Schools of rainbow runner, giant trevally, blue fin jacks. We also saw a ZEBRA SHARK, 4 marbled ray, white tips and blue stripped snapper.
Dive 2
Maamagili Corner – The whole reef was covered in bait fish, blue stripped snapper, white tips and a massive school of blue fin jacks.
Dive 3
Alimathaa Jetty – WOW! 20+ nurse sharks, Jenkins ray, black tips, giant and blue fin trevally all out hunting under the lights of the jetty.
Day 4
Dive 1
Miyaru Kandu – Fab dive – Grey reef sharks, white tips, dog tooth tuna, waves of fusiliers, big eye and giant trevally, black jacks, blue fin jacks, a hawksbill turtle and marbled ray.
Dive 2
Wattaru Kandu – We had to stay close to the reef and multilevel, due to strong currents. We saw 2 large napoleons on the point, as well as, dog tooth tuna, humpback snapper, racoon and red tail butterfly fish and banner fish.
Dive 3
Vanhuravalhi Kandu – Incredible dive - Beautiful yellow corals all along the front, over a hundred grey reef sharks, white tips, a squadron of eagle rays who came in very close to us, dog tooth tuna and giant trevally. As we drifted into the channel we came across a massive school of barracuda and big eye trevally.
Day 5
Dive 1
Muli Corner – What a fantastic morning dive! We jumped into the blue and approached the mouth of the channel, where we were greeted by an eagle ray, grey reef sharks, dog tooth tuna and giant trevally. The current then gently pushed us to the outside reef and we saw immense schools of blue stripped and humpback snapper and big eye trevally. Towards the end of the dive, we also saw a white tip catch a fish in front of us.
Dive 2
Kurelhi Kandu – 6 mantas all waiting their turn to be cleaned, 2 eagle rays, some large napoleons and reindeer wrasse. We also saw razor clams and garden eels hiding in the sand.
Dive 3
Thaa Muli – What an enthralling dive! A super 1.5 mile drift along the outside reef, great viz! White tips, giant trevally charging up from the deep, humpback and midnight snapper, dog tooth tuna, black jacks and blue fin jacks.
Day 6
Dive 1
Diyamagili Blue – WOW, a HAMMER HEAD came to check us out as soon as we entered the water, we also had 2 sightings of wahoo and great barracuda! Then another HAMMERHEAD! Everyone was very happy, as they had not seen hammer heads before.
Dive 2
Isdhoo – Beautiful overhangs and soft yellow corals, then an ascent into the shallows which was prolific with fish life – pompano, big eye trevally, midnight, black, humpback, red snapper, banner fish, rainbow runners and turtles – both green and hawksbill.
Dive 3
Fushi Kandu - What a wonderful dive. Healthy coral, eagle rays, grey reef sharks, white tips, a zebra shark, big eye trevally and red and midnight snapper.
Day 7
Dive 1
Hithadhoo Manta – What a fab dive. Fantastic porieties coral blocks covered in big eye trevally, humpback and blue stripped snapper. We also saw a school of eagle rays, white tips, green and hawksbill turtles, Jenkins ray, huge marbled groupers and red tail butterfly fish.
Dive 2
Hithadhoo Manta – A beautiful drift dive to the outer reefs. 3 mantas, eagle rays, white tips, rainbow runners, big eye trevally, humpback and midnight snapper and 4 green turtles who were being chased by pyramid butterfly fish.
Evening Activity
Whale Shark Point - 2 whale sharks (a 6 and a 10 metre) came to the back of the boat under our lights, what an amazing experience.

Dive 1
Villingilli – Green turtles, an eagle ray, grey reef sharks, black tips, baby white tips hiding under the head of the coral and schools of racoon and red tail fish butterfly fish and oriental sweet lips on the outside of the reef.
Dive 2
Villingilli Beyru– Grey reef sharks, white tips, turtles, eagle ray, feather tail sting ray, blue stripped snapper, napoleons, racoon butterfly fish and ribbon eels.
Dive 3
Nilandhoo – Very strong current, so swift drift down the channel then span out like a washing machine – grey reef sharks, white tips and green turtles.
Day 9
Dive 1
Gemanafushi Blue – Jumped on the outside reef and swam in to the blue to look for pelagics, however, it was a quiet dive, as we only saw a big school of bonito (tuna), dog tooth tuna and a wahoo.
Dive 2
Maarehu Kandu – 3 green turtles in the coral garden being cleaned by butterfly fish, 7 eagle ray and grey reef sharks cleaning on the spur on the outside reef and surgeon fish and big eye trevally AND Lisa, the cruise director saw a TIGER SHARK!
Dive 3
Maarehu Kandu- Amazing Dive. Logger head, green and hawksbill turtles, 9 eagle rays, white tips, grey reef sharks, surgeon fish, big eye trevally, rainbow runners and blue fin jacks. After which we drifted in to the channel and saw mobula rays, a nurse shark and over 40 green turtles swimming amongst the coral garden.

Maareha Kandu – Wave after wave of grey reef sharks, a huge school of big eye trevally (the biggest we have ever seen), eagle rays and green turtles.
Dive 2
Nilandhoo Kandu – What a great dive - We descended onto the reef and made our way to the mouth of the channel, where we saw stunning corals on the front and were joined by grey reef sharks, napoleons, black jacks, blue fin jacks, dog tooth tuna and giant trevally. Upon reaching the half way point we drifted over the top and down the middle of the channel, where we were greeted by a huge pod of common dolphins. They seemed very curious and stayed with us for around 15 minutes.

Outside Koodhoo – Incredible Dive – We had about 20 spinner sharks with us for around 30 minutes, all sizes ranging from 1.5 to nearly 3 metres in size.

Villingilli Kandu – Descent from the blue to the mouth of the channel, grey reef sharks, white tips, ribbon eels, green turtles, hawksbill turtles, feather tail sting ray, eagle ray and black tips.

Rasfari North – Manta, mobula ray, white tips, a hawksbill turtle, white mouthed moray, blue stripped snapper and some magnificent bright orange anemones.
Dive 2
Rasdhoo Madivaru – Grey reef sharks, eagle rays, white tips, napoleons, a huge shoal of island trevally and hundreds of orange antheas all over the reef.
Dive 3
Rasdhoo Madivaru – Amazing dive! A baby eagle ray stayed with us for the whole of the dive. We also saw a feather tail sting ray, grey reef sharks and white tips cruising across the reef, napoleons and huge dog toothed tuna.

Rasdhoo Madivaru – Another great dive on Rasdhoo where we were lucky enough to see a very rare small eyed sting ray, as well as grey reef sharks, eagle rays, white tips, napoleons and a large school of big eye trevally.
Dive 2
Makaru Thila – Grey reef sharks, white tips (adults and their babies, who were sleeping under the table corals), baby eagle rays, big eye trevally, bat fish, blue stripped snapper and thread fin jacks.
Dive 3
Maaya Thila – Grey reef sharks, white tips, 2 cuttlefish (1 was laying its eggs in the rocks), hawksbill turtles, giant and golden trevally and fosters barracuda.

Malaku Kandu - Stunning drift dive across the front of the channel. Beautiful white sand and soft coral festooned pinnacles and fantastic overhangs. Ornate ghost pipe fish, grey reef sharks, white tips, marbled and feather tail sting ray and big eye trevally.

Alimathaa Jetty - – Had an amazing night dive with nurse sharks 20+, as well as, white tips, black tips and pink whiptail ray!
Day 12
Dive 1
Medu Kandu – We crossed the channel and watched the sharks cruising up and down, close to the top of the thila - silver tips, white tips, grey reef sharks, eagle rays and marbled ray.
Dive 2
Coco Thila - Brilliant dive! - We jumped into the blue and drifted down to the atoll plate. We were met by grey reef sharks, white tips and a couple of eagle rays. We came to a grey reef shark cleaning station and watched them be cleaned for a while before drifting further along the thila. We also saw a number of hawksbills, a reindeer wrasse, napoleons and a large school of barracuda. At the end of the dive, whilst we were doing our safety stop an eagle ray came right up to us.
Dive 3
Miyaru Kandu – We drifted to the corner to watch and saw grey reef sharks, white tips, 4 eagle ray, before a super swift drift into the channel. What an enjoyable ride.

Dive 1
Embudhoo Express –We descended into the blue and to the channel mouth where we saw eagle rays, white tips, a huge school of banner fish, as well as big eye trevally, rainbow runners, napoleons, marbled ray. We drifted further along the thila and saw a school of oriental sweetlips and red tail butterfly fish.
Dive 2
LAST DIVE OF THE TRIP - Fish Tank - MORAY!!! - Honeycomb , zebra, clouded and white eyed, as well as a leopard snake eel, napoleon and pink whiptail rays.

All of the guests arrived late morning and were transferred to Sea Spirit. Once everyone was settled on board and briefings done, we helped the guests complete the appropriate paperwork and formalities in preparation for the check dive.

Kuda Hithi Lagoon – Nice check dive, which allowed the 2 novice divers to get acclimatised and comfortable.

Rasfari North – Manta, mobula ray, white tips, a hawksbill turtle, white mouthed moray, blue stripped snapper and some magnificent bright orange anemones.
Dive 2
Rasdhoo Madivaru – Grey reef sharks, eagle rays, white tips, napoleons, a huge shoal of island trevally and hundreds of orange antheas all over the reef.
Dive 3
Rasdhoo Madivaru – Amazing dive! A baby eagle ray stayed with us for the whole of the dive. We also saw a feather tail sting ray, grey reef sharks and white tips cruising across the reef, napoleons and huge dog toothed tuna.

Kani Corner – What a fantastic check dive! 4 HUGE EAGLE RAYS, A ZEBRA SHARK, grey reef sharks, white tips, bat fish, rainbow runners, neon and yellow/blue fusiliers and black ribbon eels.
Day 1

Coliseum - Great dive! A huge shoal of adult bump head parrot fish were with us throughout the dive, as were eagle rays, white tips, oriental sweet lips, hump back and midnight snapper and a massive school of bat fish and fosters barracuda.
Dive 2
Lankan – We saw a lovely manta, a BOWMOUTH GUITARFISH, a hawksbill and a green turtle, black tip reef sharks and schools of blue stripped and red snapper.
Dive 3
Aquarium – FAB fish soup dive! A big school of eagle rays and oriental sweet lips, a green turtle, black snapper, red tailed butterfly fish, white tips, banner fish and cascades of fusiliers.
Night Dive
Fish Tank – What an unbelievable dive! 2 GIANT GUITAR FISH swam with and around us for 10 minutes, followed by 4 species of sting ray – marbled, pink whiptail, mangrove whiptail and feather tail. We also saw countless species of moray, a big school of banner fish, eagle ray, blue fin jacks and giant trevally.

Lankan – A friendly octopus and his grouper friends attracted our attention, as did white tips, oriental sweet lips, porcelain crabs and snappers.
Dive 2
Miyaru Beyru – We noticed some strange currents in the deeper water, however despite this we still had a great dive and saw white tips, porcelain crabs, octopus, mantis shrimp, three spot, blue stripped and humpback snapper.
Dive 3
Coco Thila – What a world class dive site! A big school of eagle ray (far too many to count), grey reef sharks, white tips, huge napoleons, hundreds of big eye jacks and some beautiful soft corals.

We went ashore a took the guests shopping on Guraidhoo.

Coco Thila – Another stunning dive. 15+ eagle rays, countless grey reef sharks, white tips, rainbow runner, blue fin jacks, big eye and giant trevally, midnight snapper, unicorn fish and dog tooth tuna. It was action packed from start to finish!

Fotteo Muli – WOW a spectacular blue water drift dive! We saw schools of big eye and giant trevally, 12 eagle rays, white tips, groupers and rainbow runner.
Dive 3
Fotteyo – White tips, grey reef sharks, rainbow runners, big eye jacks and orange anthias all over the reef.

Fotteyo – Beautiful soft yellow coral on the overhangs and an abundance of white tips

Rakeedho – What a great dive – A forest of gorgonian fan corals, a large male napoleon with his harem, eagle rays, grey reef sharks, parrot fish and a massive school of big eye trevally.

Muli Kandu – Grey reef sharks, white tips, marbled ray, male napoleons and a big school of midnight snapper.

Kurali Manta Point – 2 mantas were with us throughout the dive, as well as porcupine, mangrove and eagle ray, napoleons and a reindeer wrasse.

Broken Reef – What a beautiful coral garden (mainly hard coral), loads of anemones, including sinus, three spot snappers, soap fish, purple eye micro goby, smiths venomous and imposter blenny and a lovely humbug damsel fish.
Dive 3
Kuda Giri – 2 hawksbill turtles, dog tooth tuna out hunting, a huge shoal of white finned puffer fish, a bright yellow sling jaw fish, an unknown nudi (sea slug), a small black saddle grouper and a speckled grouper (which you don’t see that often) and a wall of glass fish.

Fish Tank – LOTS OF RAYS!!! Pink whiptail, mangrove whiptail, marbled, feathertail sting and honeycomb, as well as morays - giant, white eyed, clouded and zebra. We also saw stone fish, lined soap fish, napoleons and banner fish.

Guest Transfer – All of the guests were transferred together back to Hulhumale by the dhoni, to catch their homebound flights or transfers on to resorts.

All of the guests arrived in the morning and were transferred to Sea Spirit. Once everyone was settled onboard and briefings done, we helped the guests complete the appropriate paperwork and formalities in preparation for the check dive.

Kani Corner – What a fantastic check dive! 4 HUGE EAGLE RAYS, A ZEBRA SHARK, grey reef sharks, white tips, bat fish, rainbow runners, neon and yellow/blue fusiliers and black ribbon eels.

Coliseum - Great dive! A huge shoal of adult bump head parrot fish were with us throughout the dive, as were eagle rays, white tips, oriental sweet lips, hump back and midnight snapper and a massive school of bat fish and fosters barracuda.
Dive 2
Lankan – We saw a lovely manta, a BOWMOUTH GUITARFISH, a hawksbill and a green turtle, black tip reef sharks and schools of blue stripped and red snapper.
Dive 3
Aquarium – FAB fish soup dive! A big school of eagle rays and oriental sweet lips, a green turtle, black snapper, red tailed butterfly fish, white tips, banner fish and cascades of fusiliers.
Night Dive
Fish Tank – What an unbelievable dive! 2 GIANT GUITAR FISH swam with and around us for 10 minutes, followed by 4 species of sting ray – marbled, pink whiptail, mangrove whiptail and feather tail. We also saw countless species of moray, a big school of banner fish, eagle ray, blue fin jacks and giant trevally.

Lankan – A friendly octopus and his grouper friends attracted our attention, as did white tips, oriental sweet lips, porcelain crabs and snappers.
Dive 2
Miyaru Beyru – We noticed some strange currents in the deeper water, however despite this we still had a great dive and saw white tips, porcelain crabs, octopus, mantis shrimp, three spot, blue stripped and humpback snapper.
Dive 3
Coco Thila – What a world class dive site! A big school of eagle ray (far too many to count), grey reef sharks, white tips, huge napoleons, hundreds of big eye jacks and some beautiful soft corals.

Coco Thila – Another stunning dive. 15+ eagle rays, countless grey reef sharks, white tips, rainbow runner, blue fin jacks, big eye and giant trevally, midnight snapper, unicorn fish and dog tooth tuna. It was action packed from start to finish!

Fotteo Muli – WOW a spectacular blue water drift dive! We saw schools of big eye and giant trevally, 12 eagle rays, white tips, groupers and rainbow runner.

Fotteyo – White tips, grey reef sharks, rainbow runners, big eye jacks and orange anthias all over the reef.

Fotteyo – Beautiful soft yellow coral on the overhangs and an abundance of white tips

Rakeedho – What a great dive – A forest of gorgonian fan corals, a large male napoleon with his harem, eagle rays, grey reef sharks, parrot fish and a massive school of big eye trevally.

Muli Kandu – Grey reef sharks, white tips, marbled ray, male napoleons and a big school of midnight snapper.

Kurali Manta Point – 2 mantas were with us throughout the dive, as well as porcupine, mangrove and eagle ray, napoleons and a reindeer wrasse.

Broken Reef – What a beautiful coral garden (mainly hard coral), loads of anemones, including sinus, three spot snappers, soap fish, purple eye micro goby, smiths venomous and imposter blenny and a lovely humbug damsel fish.

Kuda Giri – 2 hawksbill turtles, dog tooth tuna out hunting, a huge shoal of white finned puffer fish, a bright yellow sling jaw fish, an unknown nudi (sea slug), a small black saddle grouper and a speckled grouper (which you don’t see that often) and a wall of glass fish.

Diyamagilli Blue – We saw a pygmy pilot whale on the way to the dive site and once there and once in the water we saw 2 oceanis mantas (a male and a female in courtship).

Kudhadhoo Thila – Cascades of blue/yellow and neon fusiliers, 4 eagle rays, a hawksbill turtle, blue stripe and humpback snapper.

Dhidhdhoo Reef – Green and hawksbill turtles, grey reef sharks, white tips AND a brief sighting of a WHALE SHARK, who swam under the boat twice when we were boarding the dhoni. Sadly, only 1 of us was lucky enough to see it!

Maalhoss – What a stunning dive – Vibrant soft corals in blue, yellow and pink on the overhangs, where white tips, grey reef sharks and a hawksbill turtle joined us.

Rangali Madivaru – Fish soup! Grey reef sharks, white tips, a baby silver tip, napoleons and blue fin jacks out hunting and millions of anthias (pink, orange and yellow reef fish).

Hathi Kolhu – Great dive with plenty of small stuff – a leaf fish, spearing and peacock mantis shrimp, banded boxer shrimp, cleaner shrimp, banded pipe fish, langoustine, pompano, common and clear fin lion fish, golden fleck moray, blue and black ribbon eels and a nurse shark.

Coco Thila – WOW what a spectacular dive – A wall of grey reef sharks, eagle rays, a hawksbill, giant and big eye trevally, dog tooth tuna, rainbow runners and surgeon fish.

Guraidhoo Corner – Green and hawksbill turtles, dog tooth tuna, white tips, banner fish, blue stripe snapper and a chromodoris nudibranch.
Night Dive
Biyadhoo House Reef – Sadly no sharks, however, we enjoyed a relaxing dive and saw banded pipe fish, banded boxer shrimp, moray and blue fin jacks.

All of the guests arrived in the morning, so we boarded the dhoni and transferred to Sea Spirit. Once everyone was settled onboard, we gave an introductory briefing, before completing the paperwork and formalities in preparation for the check dive.

Alimatha Jetty – Great check dive. Lots of nurse sharks, pink whiptail and eagle ray, black and white tip reef sharks and an octopus.

Kudaboli Thila – What a fabulous dive – grey reef sharks, white tips, a porcupine ray, a hawksbill and 4 eagle rays playing in the current.
Dive 2
Mahibadhoo Mantas – We went in search of mantas, however, no luck due to in current.

Lilly Mantas – A manta came to the cleaning station for us to watch and enjoy.
Dive 4
Sun Island – We saw both grey and white tip reef sharks, a hawksbill and a WHALE SHARK. It loved our bubbles and swam with us for a while. Everyone was sooo happy, as they had never seen one before!

We all enjoyed snorkelling with 2 whale sharks!!!

Hollywood – What beautiful gorgonian fan corals on the overhangs. We saw grey and white tip reef sharks, eagle ray, a hawksbill, as well as fosters and chevron barracuda.

Fish Head – What a great dive with excellent vis – 15 grey reef sharks on the south corner, a huge school of blue stripper snapper, 5 hawksbill turtles, a huge school of banner fish and big eye jacks hunting waves of fusiliers.

Bat Kan – Lots of grey and white tip reef sharks and napoleons on the current point, as well as dog toothed tuna, who were hunting big eye jacks.
Dive 2
Makaru Thila – A relaxing dive where we were joined by a very friendly juvenile eagle ray, who stayed with us for the entire dive. We also saw grey reef sharks, some baby white tips, who were hiding under the table corals, some mating octopus, batfish and a school of big eye jacks and giant trevally.
Dive 3
Maaya Thila – Lots of grey and white tip reef sharks on the pinnacle, as well as amber jacks and golden trevally, hawksbill turtles, comet fish, hinge back shrimps and magnificent anemones with black foot anemone fish all over them.
Night Dive
Maayafushi Mantas – WOW, we all really enjoyed watching 4 mantas feeding, as well as seeing them at the back of the boat under our lights.

Rasdhoo – Grey reef sharks, manta ray, eagle ray, napoleons and a big school of big eye trevally.
Dive 2
Rasdhoo – Eagle rays, white tips, a huge school of big eye jacks AND … a large female grey reef shark, who was closely following by seven males, trying to mate!!

Rasfari North – Lovely clear water – baby eagle rays, white tips, oceanic trigger fish and schools of blue stripe snapper.

Lankan – We saw a manta, who was cleaning in the shallows, as well as, a hawksbill, white tips and a friendly octopus, who was being followed by some coral groupers.

Coliseum – Lots of silver tips on the corner, as well as grey and white tip reef sharks, eagle rays, napoleons, marbled ray and a huge school of rainbow runner and batfish.

Kani Corner – Eagle rays, blue stripe snapper, white tips, grey reef sharks, black ribbon eels and huge schools of fusiliers, oriental sweet lips and midnight snapper.

Lankan – What a lovely dive, there were 9 mantas on the cleaning station, however, they were not cleaning, but, displaying courtship behaviour and the males were happily chasing the females.

Rasdhoo Madivaru – Great dive! Lots of grey reef sharks cleaning on the point, as well as, eagle rays, mobula rays, a leaf fish, napoleons and big eye trevally.

Colosseum – A fabulous dive. We saw a bump head parrot fish, a school of mating mobula ray, white tips, eagle ray and a huge shoal of batfish.

Kani Corner – The dive started off well with a ZEBRA SHARK and an eagle ray, followed by napoleons, a huge shoal of barracuda, white tips, a school of mobula ray and then right at the end of the dive a WHALE SHARK decided to join us!
Dive 3
Aquarium – Another great dive – Eagle and marbled ray, white tips, cascading fusiliers, a school of oriental sweet lips and a hump back snapper.

Lankan Manta Point – MANTASTIC! They put on a great show for us. At first they were just calmly cleaning, before they were joined by a couple of males, who seemed to cause mayhem! It was great to watch, as they swam around, everywhere around us, looping the loop (just like the Red Arrows).

More MANTAS! We enjoyed watching them cleaning and had a few fly overs, the vis was amazing! We also saw white tips, a hawksbill turtle and a school of blue stripped snapper and sweet lips.

Gulhi Kandu - A great drift dive – white tips on the front, as well as, porcelain crabs, a school of blue stripped snapper, a couple of hawksbill turtles, a dog tooth tuna and a large school of skip jack tuna.

Coco Thila - What a magnificent dive with great vis!! 30+ eagle rays in formation and too many grey reef sharks to count!
Dive 2
Coco Thila – A superb dive! We dropped onto the front of the thila and saw grey reef sharks (in large numbers), a dog tooth tuna, a giant trevally, eagle rays and sharks, all the way down the reef.
Dive 3
Alimathaa Jetty – We were joined by a big school of very friendly nurse sharks, who were swimming really close, brushing up against us and trying to balance on our fins.

Devanu Kandu – A great drift dive – Feather tail and a sting ray, a big school of fosters barracuda, napoleons, big eye jacks, humpback snapper, thread fin jacks on the front, as well as, white tips and a hawksbill turtle.
Dive 2
Miyaru Kandu – Drift dive – manta ray, big eye and giant trevally, black and white tip reef sharks, a hawksbill turtle and some amazing whip coral shrimp.
Dive 3
Kudaboli – Despite the strong current, we saw grey reef sharks on the front, big eye trevally, marbled ray, waves of fusiliers and some beautiful soft coral on the rock pinnacles.

Mahibaidhoo Manta Point – 2 mantas kept swimming past us to be cleaned, but sadly they didn’t settle.

Mohamad Thila – An incredible dive! Stunning soft corals, grey reef sharks, white tips, humpback snappers, oriental sweet lips and hawksbill turtles.

Maamagili Beyru – Another good dive – white and black tips, grey reef sharks, goat fish, humpback and blue stripped snappers and feathertail stingray.

Maamagili Corner – Grey reef sharks, black and white tips, all hunting on the top of the reef. Feathertail sting ray, blue stripe snapper and some yellow goat fish.

Dhiddhdhoo Reef – A WHALE SHARK swam by and stayed with us for a majority of the dive.

Kudu Raa – What a pleasant dive – a huge shoal of blue stripe snappers, blue fin jacks and giant trevally hunting, plus wave after wave of fusiliers.

We enjoyed a brief snorkel with a whale shark.

Camel Rock / Lily Manta Point – A nice relaxing dive - We were lucky enough to have a manta join us during the dive and clean for around 10 minutes and as we were leaving, another one swam up the sand channel.

Fish Head – Lots of grey reef sharks, blue fin jacks, giant trevally who were hunting fusiliers and some very friendly hawksbill turtles.
Dive 3
Maaya Thila – Grey reef sharks, a huge shoal of juvenile fosters barracuda, a hawksbill turtle, amber jacks, golden and blue fin trevally and an octopus.
Night Dive
Maayafushi Lagoon – A beautiful dive – 3 mantas feeding under our lights.

Gangethi Pass, North Wall – A great drift dive with lovely clear water down the ocean pass. We saw a great number of both white tips and grey reef sharks, as well as, feathertail, marbled and eagle rays.

Gangethi Pass, South Wall – A super dive – LEOPARD SHARK, grey reef sharks, black tips, white tips and eagle rays.
Dive 3
The windy conditions prompted us to move on to 3 Palms Rasdhoo for our 3rd dive of the day. We saw a manta ray, 7 grey reef sharks, napoleons, white tips and a school of jacks.

Occoboli Thila – Coral blocks covered in magnificent anemones, schools of jacks hunting, dog toothed tuna and 2 marbled rays mating.

Coco Thila – A superb dive! We dropped onto the front of the thila and saw grey reef sharks (in large numbers), a dog tooth tuna, a giant trevally, eagle rays and sharks, all the way down the reef.
Dive 3
Alimathaa Jetty – We were joined by a big school of very friendly nurse sharks, who were swimming really close, brushing up against us and trying to balance on our fins.
Day 4
Dive 1
Devanu Kandu – A great drift dive – Feather tail and a sting ray, a big school of fosters barracuda, napoleons, big eye jacks, humpback snapper, thread fin jacks on the front, as well as, white tips and a hawksbill turtle.
Dive 2
Miyaru Kandu – Drift dive – manta ray, big eye and giant trevally, black and white tip reef sharks, a hawksbill turtle and some amazing whip coral shrimp.
Dive 3
Kudaboli – Despite the strong current, we saw grey reef sharks on the front, big eye trevally, marbled ray, waves of fusiliers and some beautiful soft coral on the rock pinnacles.
Day 5
Dive 1
Mahibaidhoo Manta Point – 2 mantas kept swimming past us to be cleaned, but sadly they didn’t settle.
Dive 2
Mohamad Thila – An incredible dive! Stunning soft corals, grey reef sharks, white tips, humpback snappers, oriental sweet lips and hawksbill turtles.
Dive 3
Maamagili Beyru – Another good dive – white and black tips, grey reef sharks, goat fish, humpback and blue stripped snappers and feathertail stingray.
Day 6
Dive 1
Maamagili Corner – Grey reef sharks, black and white tips, all hunting on the top of the reef. Feathertail sting ray, blue stripe snapper and some yellow goat fish.
Dive 2
Dhiddhdhoo Reef – A WHALE SHARK swam by and stayed with us for a majority of the dive.
Dive 3
Kudu Raa – What a pleasant dive – a huge shoal of blue stripe snappers, blue fin jacks and giant trevally hunting, plus wave after wave of fusiliers.
Snorkelling
We enjoyed a brief snorkel with a whale shark.
Day 7
Dive 1
Camel Rock / Lily Manta Point – A nice relaxing dive - We were lucky enough to have a manta join us during the dive and clean for around 10 minutes and as we were leaving, another one swam up the sand channel.
Dive 2
Fish Head – Lots of grey reef sharks, blue fin jacks, giant trevally who were hunting fusiliers and some very friendly hawksbill turtles.
Dive 3
Maaya Thila – Grey reef sharks, a huge shoal of juvenile fosters barracuda, a hawksbill turtle, amber jacks, golden and blue fin trevally and an octopus.
Night Dive
Maayafushi Lagoon – A beautiful dive – 3 mantas feeding under our lights.
Day 8
Dive 1
Gangethi Pass, North Wall – A great drift dive with lovely clear water down the ocean pass. We saw a great number of both white tips and grey reef sharks, as well as, feathertail, marbled and eagle rays.
Dive 2
Gangethi Pass, South Wall – A super dive – LEOPARD SHARK, grey reef sharks, black tips, white tips and eagle rays.
Dive 3
The windy conditions prompted us to move on to 3 Palms Rasdhoo for our 3rd dive of the day. We saw a manta ray, 7 grey reef sharks, napoleons, white tips and a school of jacks.
Day 9
Dive 1
Rasdhoo – Manta rays, grey reef sharks, white tips, eagle rays, napoleons and a leaf fish.
Dive 2
Rasdhoo – What a stunning dive! 7 mantas, 30+ grey reef sharks, black tips, eagle rays, napoleons, large schools of big eye trevally and chevron barracuda.
Dive 3
Giiravaru Kandu – A great drift dive where a massive school of rainbow runner, unicorn fish and a large unidentified shark seemed to zoom past us. We also saw some hawksbill turtles and nudibranchs (gastropod molluscs).
Day 10
Dive 1
Himmafushi – 4 mantas cleaning on the station, green and hawksbill turtles, schools of blue stripe snapper and sweet lips, as well as, white tips and black tips.
Dive 2
HP Reef/Girifushi Thila – beautiful soft coral, grey reef sharks, white tips, big eye trevally and fusiliers.
Dive 3
Occoboli Thila – Coral blocks covered in magnificent anemones, schools of jacks hunting, dog toothed tuna and 2 marbled rays mating.
Day 11
Dive 1
Fish Tank – Last dive of the trip – pink whip tail rays, honeycomb and white eyed morays and schools of bannerfish.

Guest Transfer
2 of our guests arrived in the morning and the rest arrived in the afternoon. Full safety briefing given and buoyancy checks done. Early night.

Dive 1
Lankan – WOW! The check-out dive was great – manta heaven! They were all around us and for the whole of the dive.
Dive 2
Lankan – Wow! What a great dive - lots more mantas, as well as, white tips and green and hawksbill turtles.
Dive 3
Fish Tank – What a superb dive with sooo many rays! Pink whiptail, mangrove, feathertail, marbled and eagle. We also saw every species of moray native to the Maldives and a giant guitarfish!
Day 2
Dive 1
Aquarium – Fish soup!!! Great photo opportunities – fish school paradise, eagle rays, green turtles and waves of fusiliers.
Dive 2
Kani Corner – 4 mantas, white tips, hawksbill turtles, a school of blue stripe snapper, bat fish and napoleons
Dive 3
Rasfarui North – Gentle drift dive – white tips, humpback and blue stripe snapper, marbled ray, so many different types of moray and a hawksbill turtle eating a large crown jelly fish.
Day 3
Dive 1
Rasfari – The guests loved this site and the water was amazingly clear. 5 eagle rays, white tips and crown jelly fish everywhere!!
Dive 2
Rasdhoo Madivaru – Grey reef sharks, eagle and marbled ray and a school of big eye trevally – stunning topography.
Dive 3
Rasdhoo Madivaru – The ridge was covered in reef fish, so it was just like looking at a firework. We also saw a huge shoal of big eye jacks and lots of grey reef sharks.
Day 4
Dive 1
Rasdhoo Madivaru – Another great dive – We were surrounded by mantas throughout, as well as grey reef sharks, white tips, eagle rays. To add to this we also saw a leaf fish.
Dive 2
Gangethi Pass – Lovely clear water for our drift dive and soooo many white tips, grey reef sharks, sting rays, crown jelly fish, turtles and octopus!!
Dive 3
Maaya Thila – Juvenile grey reef sharks, white tips, a friendly hawksbill turtle, octopus, big eye jacks, tuna that were charging around, bat fish and hundreds of banner fish.
Night Dive
Maayafushi – A magical dive, where we enjoyed watching 2 mantas feeding directly beneath the lights of Sea Spirit.
Day 5
Dive 1
Fish Head – We love this site – the whole thila top was covered in a blanket of blue stripe snappers. We also had good grey shark action, as well as seeing a small eagle ray, turtles and lots more crown jelly fish.
Dive 2
Kalahandhi Huraa – Wow! What a super-fast current.
Dive 3
Hollywood – A pair of sting ray, grey reef sharks, bat fish, a huge shoal of barracuda and lovely overhangs covered in soft coral and sea fans.
Day 6
Dive 1
Mahibaidhoo – Coral gardens and lots of crown jelly fish.
Dive 2
Maamagilli Corner - WOW!! We had a great dive and were joined by several whale sharks, white tips, a marbled ray and a hawksbill turtle.
Dive 3
Maamagilli Beyru – Wow, another 2 whale sharks, we snorkelled and dived with them and 1 stayed with us for an hour!!!
Day 7
Dive 1
Maamagilli Beyru – Great visibility and a relaxing dive – white tips, marbled ray, a school of blue stripe snappers, grey reef sharks and a hawksbill turtle.
Dive 2
Kudaboli Thila – We had a very strong current, but it was great to have grey reef sharks join us, as well as white tips, big eye trevally and napoleons.
Dive 3
Alimathaa Jetty - WOW!!!!! The best dive ever!!! Hundreds of nurse sharks, as well as black tip reef sharks, white tips, pink and marbled ray and a giant trevally!
Day 8
Dive 1
Miyaru Kandu – A fun packed dive with lots of action! A manta ray playing with 3 eagle rays, a black ribbon eel, a honeycomb moray, napoleons, white tips and octopus.
Dive 2
Guraidhoo Corner – White tips, eagle ray, stone fish, spearing mantis shrimp, geometric chromodoris (sea slug), dog tooth tuna and wave after wave of yellow backed fusiliers.
Snorkelling
Some of the guests went snorkelling and were lucky enough to see 3 mantas cleaning.
Day 9
Dive 1
Wow, what a great dive!! Sooo many grey reef sharks and eagle rays throughout. We also had another 30 minutes watching 2 manta cleaning on the way back to Sea Spirit.
Dive 2
2 mantas came real close and stopped briefly to be cleaned.
Day 10
Guest Transfer
The guests were transferred back to the airport for their homebound flights.
