1 Jun 2018 9 Jun 2018 Majestic Mantas £1,795 7 days

This itinerary will give you 7 days on board and will visit North Male, Baa and Raa Atolls.

MAJESTIC MANTAS The Maldives are well known for the amazing encounters with manta rays.  The nutrient rich waters are the ideal environment for these beautiful creatures and this itinerary will seek to give you the best opportunity to dive and snorkel with these incredible animals.  In addition, you will experience the amazing colour and vibrancy of the Maldivian underwater world.

  • Day 1: Arrival Day

Guests will be met at Male airport and transfered to blue Voyager - there are two transfers, one at 12:30pm and another at 4:00pm.  If your flight arrival time means that you have a few hours to wait for a transfer, then ask our Sales Team about 'Day Room' facilities at the Hulhule Hotel.

The diving boat (dhoni) will transfer you from the airport to blue Voyager which will be anchored around 20 minutes away.

The Cruise Directors will give a safety briefing and guests will have the opportunity to settle in.  Dinner is usually followed by an early night!

  • Day 2 - 6:

Five full days of wonderful diving, with a typical program of 3 ocean dives a day:-

    6:00am - Wake-up call!

    TEA/COFFEE & BISCUITS

    6:30am - First dive brief

BREAKFAST is served after the first dive

10:30am - Second dive brief (usually between 10:00am and 11:00am)

LUNCH is served after the second dive

2:30pm - Third dive brief (usually between 2:00pm and 3:00pm)

DINNER* is served after the third dive at around 6:30pm

*If there is a planned night dive, the dive brief will be around 6:30pm and dinner will be served afterwards at around 8:00pm.

Night diving can be difficult in the Maldives due to strong currents and navigating the reef system in the dark. Any night diving will be at the discretion of the Cruise Directors and is planned subject to local conditions and diver abilities.

The diving schedule is not set in stone so, for example, if dives are taking places at a shallow manta point, it may be possible to dive 4 times during the day. On a day when the vessel makes a passage across a channel from one atoll to another, there might be 2 day dives plus a night dive. The aim is to give you the best diving for the season and the given conditions.

  • Day 7:

One or two dives are offered this morning and then guests relax on board while the boat cruises back to Male.

Note: If guests need to disembark today, they can be transferred to the airport any time from 5pm for their flight or onward connection - please ask our sales team.

  • Day 8: Departure Day

A light breakfast is served this morning and guests are transferred back to the airport at around 08:00am to catch their international flight home or onward transfer.

If your flight is leaving later in the day then the Hulhule Hotel, which is just 5 minutes from the departure terminal, offers various "Day Packages" - see our resort section for details.

If you are travelling back to the UK, your flight will usually arrive home in the same evening (same day).

MAGICAL MALDIVES  Discover the magic of the Maldives on a dive cruise around the central atolls. This trip will be visiting the best sites in search of some spectacular diving with the chance of encounters with sharks, whalesharks and manta rays.

  • Day 1: Arrival Day

Guests will be met at Male airport and transferred to blue Voyager - there are two transfers, one at 12:30pm and another at 4:00pm.

  • Day 2 - 6 :

LUNCH is served after the second dive

2:30pm - Third dive brief (usually between 2:00pm and 3:00pm)

If you are arranging your own flights or if you are transferring after a stay on a resort island, then our staff will meet you around 9am just outside the arrivals terminal at Male airport. Guests will be transferred to the liveaboard which will be anchored nearby.

Our Cruise Directors will give a safety briefing and guests will have the opportunity to settle in before lunch. It is normal that a check-dive is given in the afternoon. Dinner is usually followed by an early night!

  • Day 2 - 6:

Five full days of wonderful diving, with a typical program of 3 ocean dives a day:

06:30 - Tea, coffee and biscuits

07:00 - Dive 1 followed by full breakfast

    11:00 - Dive 2 followed by lunch

15:00 - Dive 3 followed by homemade cakes and snacks

    19:30 - Dinner

Note: Night diving can be difficult in the Maldives due to strong currents and navigating the reef system in the dark. Any night diving will be at the discretion of the Cruise Directors and is planned subject to local conditions and diver abilities.

The diving schedule is not set in stone so, for example, if we are diving a shallow manta point, we may dive 4 times during the day. On a day when we have to make a passage across a channel from one atoll to another, we might make 2 day dives plus a night dive. Our aim is to give you the best diving for the season and the given conditions

  • Day 7:

One dive is offered this morning and then guests relax on board while the boat cruises back to Male. In the afternoon guests will usually have the opportunity to visit Male for sight-seeing and shopping.

Note: If you need to disembark today, we can transfer you to the airport any time from 14:00 for your flight or onward connection - please ask our sales team.

  • Day 8: Departure Day

For those guests remaining on board, we serve a light breakfast and transfer you to the airport at 08:30am for your international flight home or onward transfer.

If your flight is leaving later in the day then the Hulhule Hotel, which is just 5 minutes from the departure terminal, offers various “Day Packages” – see our resort section for details.

If you are travelling back to the UK, your flight will usually arrive home in the evening (same day).
